The Day of Knowledge and Education is welcomed everywhere. Nearly 435200 Armenian pupils are expected to attend schools this year: some of them became older for a year; some of them are going to school for the first time.
President Serzh Sargsyan, together with Minister of Education and Science Spartak Seyranyan and Yerevan mayor Ervand Zakharyan was present at the opening ceremony of Erebuni community’s 194-th school named after Armen Hovhannisyan.
The school was reconstructed with financial support of Lince Fund.
According to the director of Lince Fund Program realization office Hrayr Sargsyan, the reconstruction of the school began in February 2007 and cost 900 million drams. Now the school satisfies all modern requirements.
Mr. Zakharyan and the principal of the school Nune Manoukyan congratulated all pupils and teachers on the beginning of the school year and said the reconstructed school would encourage pupils’ seek for knowledge and make them become smart and intelligent citizens for our country.
Note that 5 general schools have already been reconstructed and matched all modern requirements with the financial support of 3 billion drams by Lince Fund.
