CONFERENCE ON ARMENIAN-ARABIC STUDIES

Armenian-Arabic conference will be launched in autumn joint with the French Institute in Damascus, Syria, Ruben Safrastyan, the director of Eastern Studies Institute of the National Academy of Sciences told Panorama.am. According to him, currently they are working on the preparatory work. R. Safrastyan said that the conference is devoted to the Armenian-Arabic relations in the middle Ages. He said that the conference is the evidence to the fact that Armenian Eastern Studies have their special place in Europe that the French are willing to study Armenian-Arabic relations. Armenian and French professors of Arabic studies will make reports during the conference, and all those reports will be published in a brochure. “Such conferences are useful for Armenian youths as they get opportunity to share with their experience,” said. R. Safrastyan.
