SOCIAL IMPACT OF CRISIS ON ARMENIA CONFERENCE LAUNCHED IN YEREVAN

Conference on “Social Impact of World Economic Crisis on Armenia” launched in Yerevan today. The Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan said during the conference that the Government of Armenia adopted the strategy of operative management of the budget. “During the crisis social problems are going to be the principle points for Armenia. Irrespective of the financial developments in the country, the social expenses of the state budget will be well protected and will have significant notion,” said the Prime Minister. The UNDP representative to Armenia Consuelo Vidal said that the organization appreciates the Government’s efforts to keep the financing of the social aspect. The representative said that the Yerevan offices of the UN would cooperate with the Government to contribute to the improvement of the situation.
