RUSSIAN ACTOR OLEG YANKOVSKY DIED

Oleg Yankovsky, People’s Artist of the Soviet Union, died at the age of 65 on Wednesday morning, Itar-Tass reports. According to the source the actor suffered pancreas cancer. He was operated on in Germany. Because of the insufficient health situation the actor refused to play in many roles.

Oleg Yankovsky’s first role was in “Sword and shield” in 1968. One of Yankovsky’s film retrospective is «The Very Same Munchhausen», where the prominent actor played the main role and which is well known among his Armenian fans.
