AWARD TO RAISE ARMENIA’S “REPUTATION”

The executive director of “Hayastan” All Armenian Fund Ara Vardanyan, the executive director of “Synopsis-Armenia” company Hovik Musajelyan and the general manager of VivaCell-MTS Ralf Yirikyan have signed trilateral cooperation memorandum dedicated to the annual award 2009 of “RA President’s annual international award in the field of Information Technologies.” In the Memorandum it is particularly written: “Taking into consideration previous years’ effective and successful collaborative experience of the organizers and its sponsors, the parties are being directed by mutual trust, partnership and with deep understanding of the importance of the work done.”

“This Award is very important in the international field on Information Technologies, it is quite unique and this is the first time when the President establishes such an award. The main goal of the Award is that people well-known in the International arena of IT field during the years receive this award from the RA President”-said Hovik Musajelyan. According to him, this award will raise Armenia’s reputation in the international arena.

“We love our country and this means that we should not save efforts to raise its reputation not only inside of the country but also out side of it”- said Ralf Yirikyan, the general manager of VivaCell-MTS. Note that VivaCell-MTS company provides 11 million US dollars to cover organizational expenses associated with the Award Ceremony.
The next step after the Memorandum, the President will sign a relevant decree to create the Award and a special committee will be formed to select the winner 2009. National and international scientist will be involved in the committee. One winner will be selected. The Award will be granted to a person having the best reputation in IT field.
