Yerevan City Hall, World Bank agree on further cooperation

Yerevan City Hall and the World Bank cooperation was launched in 2006-2007. The WB carried out the Transport Reform Program then. Yerevan new status has brought new issues to the cooperation agenda. Particularly, water systems and other issues related have been discussed by Yerevan Mayor Gagik Beglaryan and the WB delegation chaired by the Regional Director for the South Caucasus Asad Alam.

Yerevan Mayor voiced hope over efficient cooperation and said he expected the cooperation to be multifaceted to involve various municipal issues. The Head of the WB delegation agreed with Gagik Beglaryan and expressed readiness on starting a new-way cooperation with the Armenian capital.

The parties agreed to make the meetings more frequent henceforth and reinforce ties, Yerevan City Hall PR department said.
