Mr. Kunio Mikuria, Secretary General of the World Customs Organization (WCO), is in Armenia on a two-day working visit. The guest is to get introduced the customs works in Armenia and the reforms implemented in the sphere. Kunio Mikuria expressed a wish to see Armenia’s customs system reforms personally since the reforms implemented in the country deserved WCO’s high appraisal.
In this process Armenia deserved high appreciation both by the WCO and the WB International Financial Corporation in “Doing Business” 2009 report, in which it advanced for 34 positions.
In the frames of his visit, K. Mikuria is due to have a meeting with the Chairman of Armenia’s State Revenues Committee Gagik Khachatryan.
