The official opening of the Armenian film festival was launched in the Hague on October 22. The festival is devoted to the 25th jubilee of “Abovyan” Culture Union in the Hague. The festival is held in association with Abovyan Union, the Hague cinema center,
“Armenian national film center”, “Golden Apricot” Yerevan international film festival, and the Armenian Consulate to the Hague.
In the framework of the festival the films to be performed are “Pomegranate’s Color” by Sergey Paradjanov, “Namus” by Hamo Beknazaryan, “Komitas” by Don Askaryan , “Happy Bus” by Albert Mkrtchyan, “Calendar” by Atom Egoyan, etc.
Dutch political and social figures, the Armenian community representatives were attending the opening ceremony.
The festival is due until November 4.
