Number of MTS subscribers hits 96,86mln.

MTS CJSC, CIS and Russia’s major cell operator, says the company has 96,86mln. subscribers as to September 30, 2009.

The number of MTS-Armenia (VivaCell-MTS) subscribers hit 2,08mln. as to September 30.

According to the source, by August 31 the company had 2,05 mln. subscribers, while a year ago, September 30, 2008, the number
reached 1,78 mln.

Thus, the number of VivaCell-MTS subscribers has increased by 16,6% for the recent 1 year.

In September MTS subscriber base boosted even by 0,69 mln., 440 thousand among them in Russia.
