Turkey, Iran to reach gas deal

According to Zaman website, Turkey’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz announced that Ankara is intent to pay difference on gas price level supplied by Azerbaijan since 2008.

During the whole period Turkey had purchased gas at a comparatively cheaper price. Azerbaijan’s delegation is due to leave for Turkey and discussions are to be held over the issue.

The Turkish Minister also said tomorrow a deal will be reached with Iran, which will provide an opportunity for Turkey to obtain gas from Iran “South Pars” Gas Field.
