Finance Minister says economic crisis hit the bottom in Armenia

The critical point in Armenia’s economic decline is past now, Armenian Finance Minister Tigran Davtyan told reporters today. He reminded the lowest decline was observed in July. “Slow growth tendencies have been observed in August,” he highlighted.

According to him, the reduction of GDP monthly index decline by 0.1% evidences about the economic stability and recovery.

“Starting from August-September, stabilization tendency has been observed in the economy and we can say, the economy has stepped into the recovery stage,” the minister highlighted.

According to Davtyan, the financial-economic crisis has hit the bottom already in Armenia and the recovery stage is due from October.
