“ArmTech 2009” Congress to reveal directions for IT development in Armenia

“ArmTech 2009” Congress will enable to reveal rational directions for IT development in Armenia, IT development council executive manager Armen Grigoryan told reporters today. The Congress is due in Silicon Valley, US, November 5-8. It aims at creating an economy based on advanced technologies.

The government delegation will be chaired by PM Tigran Sargsyan. The delegation will include over 100 people, representing 40-50 companies. The state attaches significance to the congress and participates in its financing. According to A. Grigoryan, issues over the advanced technologies in different spheres will be raised at the congress.

The congress aims at demonstrating the achievements Armenia has in IT sphere to the world’s leading companies, thus focusing their attention to making investments in our country, A. Grigoryan noted.

The organizers are intent to hold similar events in France or Dubai as well.
