Azerbaijan’s universities lack younger generation

Chingiz Ismailov, professor of Baku University ensures that Azerbaijan’s higher educational institutions need serious and deep changing of generation, “Zerkalo” writes.

“The universities are full of professors aging 70-80,” the professor writes. Ismailov says the elder professorial generation of Baku universities is tired of their studies that they are not interested in their studies, seminars and tries to finish their classes as soon as possible. Hence, it’s useless to speak about the level of education, etc.

The universities need younger professors who can change the anything. Note that according to official data about 80% of Azerbaijan’s professors are aged 70.
