Assessment and Testing Center to act under RA Government staff

By the Armenian Government’s resolution, Assessment and Testing Center (ATC) will be acting under the RA Government staff, not the Education and Science Ministry, theArmenian Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan told reporters today.

He said, he has addressed comments and suggestions to the Government over the resolution, though, the majority has been rejected.

As Ashotyan noted, the Education and Science Ministry should assume another position to ensure the ATC corresponding functions.

“ATC functions are not limited to holding the entrance exams merely, unfortunately, the center has been associated with this function only. It has a more serious and extensive mission to fulfil connected with the current assessment and control over the education sphere quality,” the Minister said.
