Armenia confirms 6th swine flu case

Armenia has registered 6th swine flu case, Assistant to the Healthcare Minister Shushan Hunanyan told Panorama.am.

As she said, the 6th case was also recorded at the airport. The Turkish arrived in Armenia yesterday midday from Istanbul.

“The swine flu symptoms were confirmed by the Turkish civilian at the airport. He was immediately taken to “Nork” infection clinic, where he underwent examination,” Sh. Hunanyan said.

Following the examination the patient was confirmed to have swine flu.

The patient’s condition is estimated as moderate. Tamiflu is the main vaccine for treatment.

Note that currently 5 patients with swine flu are hospitalized in "Nork" clinic, one patient is already out of hospital, two others will be discharged in the upcoming two days.
