Armenia confirms 15 swine flu cases

The number of swine flu cases confirmed in Armenia has reached a total of 15, the Assistant to the Healthcare Minister Shushan Hunanyan told Panorama.am.

According to her, the recent four patients are also being treated in Norq infection clinic.

Specialists claim their condition to be moderate. 8 patients are being treated in the clinic currently. As Sh. Hunanyan noted, the republic’s chief infectiologist said some of the patients are possible to leave the clinic today.

Armenia upholds the swine flu spread prevention measures and passengers’ health monitoring.

The anti-influenza vaccine Tamiflu is provided free and only as prescribed by doctor. All the citizens can visit clinics and hospitals to undergo free-of-charge medical examination.

According to the WHO information, 503.536 swine flu cases have been confirmed worldwide. The pandemic death toll reaches 6000 by now.
