No new swine flu cases recorded in Armenia

No new swine flu cases have been recorded in Armenia, chief infectiologist Ara Asoyan told Panorama.am.

According to him, 25 swine flu cases have been confirmed in Armenia by now.

23 have been discharged from Nork infection clinic, 2 others still get treatment. The specialist assessed their condition as moderate and said they will soon be discharged.

A. Asoyan referred to the death case as a man with flu symptoms died Friday. According to him, the actual cause of his death is not clear yet. “The patient went to a doctor on the 8th or 9th day of his illness. I may be mistaken to say, swine flu was the cause of his death. To find out the actual cause, examination is required. Only in this case we can make diagnosis,” Asoyan said.

The infectiologist said the examination results will be ready in three weeks only. Thus, only three weeks later we can state whether a swine flu death case has been registered in the country or not. There is no need to panic, Asoyan highlighted.
