The Chairman of NA health committee Ara Babloyan told at news conference today that A/H1N1 disease prevention activities don’t necessarily demand some special services. Babloyan said the same prophylactic activities held for other types of infectious diseases should be carried out to prevent A flu. “I’d like to remind if you have flu, just respect your friends, colleagues and the rest; don’t become a source of infection,” Babloyan said. According to the official the infection is spreading through air and communication. He recommended washing hands more often; don’t touch eyes as the infection can spread through mucous membrane. Those having to communicate with people, for instance, doctors should wear special masks in order to escape from the disease themselves and to escape from being source of infection. Regarding the soonest holidays for the educational institutions, Babloyan said that it’s classic means to prevent the infection. “I wouldn’t say that the situation is so tough. Prophylactic activities are needed for the seasonal flu also but the difference with the current flu is that we are not sure of its clinic developments hence we take those means,” Babloyan.
