5,2 mln. people unemployed in Turkey

5,2 mln. people are unemployed in Turkey, ANKA news agency says. According to the Turkish statistics service, the number increased by 825 thousand during the recent 1 year. The unemployment rate in Turkey makes 13.4%, according to the official data, though, as the abovementioned service said, the rate makes 19.4%. According to the source, 26.1% are women (2.173 mln.), while men make 27.9% (3.114 mln.).

Panorama.am recalls that the “International Labor Organization” issued a report recently stating Turkey to be the one of the countries facing the serious problem of unemployment. The report says, Turkey’s economic recovery will start from 2011.
