Chess: Levon Aronian not to play in Astrakhan tournament

As is well known, Armenian GM Levon Aronian has already won the FIDE Grand Prix, regardless of the results of the last, the 6th stage of this event. In this view, Aronian and Armenian Chess Federation applied to the FIDE, suggesting that the Armenian chess player doesn't take part in the 6th tournament of the Grand Prix due in Astrakhan, Russia in May, 2010. According to the Armenian Chess Federation, FIDE has confirmed. Aronian can now concentrate on the preparation and participation in other big events.
