Chess: Varuzhan Hakobyan wins second prize

Armenian GM Varuzhan Hakobyan scored 5 points out of 6 and won the second prize in the National Open which was held in Las Vegas, USA. Hakobyan was only half a point behind the winner, GM Timur Gareyev (Uzbekistan).

Andranik Matikozyan shared the 6th-10th places with 4,5 points. Tatev Abrahamyan scored 4, Melikset Khachiyan - 3 points, Armenian chess federation reported.

105 chess players took part in the tournament.
