Armenian sportsman takes gold in international sambo tournament

Armenian sportsman Ashot Danielyan (74 kg) took gold in the international sambo tournament for the prize of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev held in Uralsk, Kazakhstan, on August 13-16.

This year Ashot Danielyan has also won the European title in combat sambo.

The tournament held in Kazakhstan is one of the stages of the sambo world cup. It hosts sportsmen from Russia, Armenia, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Korea, Japan, Greece and Venezuela.
