Iranian website: Iranian-Armenian ties strengthened due to energy projects

Armenia and Iran implement joint energy projects, which strengthen the bilateral ties between the two states, Iranian “iras.ir” reported.

Iranian media writes till the end of the year the construction activities over the gas pipeline, third energy blosk and 2 HPP-s are supposed to resume. The construction of two HPP-s cost $320 million, which will be so powerful to increase Armenia’s electricity production for about 10%.  

According to the source, Iran-Armenia oil pipeline will cost $180 million. If the pipeline is constructed, Iran will purchase oil to Armenia in lower prices.

“Armenian President told Ukrainian “Profile” magazine that Iran is rich with energy, which Armenia doesn’t have and that Armenian side has friendly cooperation with Iran.
And Armenian FM signified during his Tehran visit expansion of our bilateral ties,” Iranian media reports.
