Armenian chess players in Chigorin Memorial

GM Zaven Andriasian scored 6,5 points out of 9, took the 11th place among 275 players and raised his rating with 18 points in the Chigorin Memorial which was held in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

Young Armenian chess player Karen H. Grigoryan had great success in the tournament. He scored 6 points, raised his elo for 30 points and achieved IM norm for the second time.

GM Eltaj Safarli (Azerbaijan) took the first prize with 7,5 points, according to the Armenian Chess Federation.
