Ethnic Armenian Andranik Alexanyan wins Children's New Wave contest

Ethnic Armenian singer Andranik Alexanyan, 13, representing Ukraine, was awarded the general prize at the Children's New Wave song contest, KP.ua reported.

The audience stood applauding him and shouting “Bravo!”

Russian composer, singer and song-writer Igor Krutoy, who was the president of the jury, handed Andranik the prize, Crystal Wave.

Bulgaria’s Ivaylo Filipov won the second prize.
