6th International Youth Film Festival “It’s Me” opens today

Yerevan will be hosting the 6th International Youth Film Festival “It’s Me” (“Yes em”) from October 10 to 15, 2011.

The festival has been initiated by the Union of Cinematographers of Armenia in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture. This year the festival is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s Independence.

The festival aims to support young creators and facilitate integration processes in cinematography.

The International Youth Film Festival “It’s Me” had been held every year since 2004 and, since 2007, the festival is held once every two years.

This year the festival features around 112 films from 16 countries – Armenia, Russia, Ukraine, Molvoda, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, United States, etc.

The opening ceremony of the festival will take place on October 10, at 19:00 in the Moscow Cinema House and the closing ceremony is scheduled for October 15, 19:00 (Moscow Cinema House). The film screenings will be held in the Cinema House (entrance from Vardanants str.)
