Sergey Parajanov would celebrate his 88th birthday

 On the 9th of January renowned Armenian filmmaker and script writer Sergey Parajanov would celebrate his 88th birthday. It’s almost a tradition as every year Parajanov’s fans pay tribute to him in the pantheon after Komitas.

Zaven Sargsyan, the director of Parajanov’s house-museum told Panorama.am today at 1 o’clock the fans will meet at his tomb.

Sergey Parajanov or Sargis Parajanyan was born on January 9, 1924 in Tbilisi. “Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors”, “The color of pomegranates”, “Legend of Suram Fortress” are the films ranked among world film masterpieces.
