Jonik Abrahamyan withdraws candidacy

Hovik Abrahamyan’s brother, Jonik Abrahamyan has withdrawn his candidacy in constituency No.17 (Ararat) race, 168 Zham reports. RPA has nominated Karine Poghosyan, Hovik Abrahamyan’s relative, in that constituency. RPA spokesperson Eduard Sharmazanov refuted the rumors that Jonik Abrahamyan decided to run in the elections after the authorities broke their promise given to Hovik Abrahamyan. They may have promised him Speaker’s job in the future parliament, says the daily.
