Armenian delegation leaves Trabzon defeated

 Semifinals in the Olympic qualifying tournament kicked off in the Turkish city of Trabzon. Alas, the tournament finished for the Armenian team yesterday in the ¼ final, National Olympic Committee of Armenia said.

Vladimir Sarukhanyan (60kg) suffered biased refereeing. Although the Armenian delegation complained the results, the group of referees has not changed the decision.

On April 18, Ara Puluzyan (64 kg) and Hrayr Matevosyan (69 kg) lost to Russia’s Artem Zaytsev and Germany’s Patrick Wojcicki respectively.

Andranik Hakobyan (75kg) is the only sportsman to present Armenia in London Olympic Games.
