Today is a “Day of Silence” in Armenia ahead of the parliamentary elections due on Sunday, May 6.
Any kind of campaigning is banned today.
CEC member Georgy Martirosyan told Panorama.am that campaign posters for parliamentary candidates will be removed from streets starting midnight.
However, campaigning in social networks is not banned, the election official said.
“That is because it’s physically impossible to control social networks,” Mr. Martirosyan explained.
