Zhoghovurd: Syunik governor selling his mine

Zhoghovurd reports that Syunik governor Suren Khachatryan fails to pay employees’ salaries in his Geghvadzor mine and is therefore selling the mine.

According to the paper, businesswoman Silva Hambartsumyan wants to buy the mine from him, but Khachatryan persists in refusing to sell the mine to her.

“The governor pins his hopes on Maxim Hakobyan, General Director of Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine, but Hakobyan has not replied to Khachatryan due to undergoing a physical examination abroad,” the paper says.
