168 Zham: Shirak governor dissatisfied with Gyumri mayor

Rumors say Shirak governor Ashot Giziryan is dissatisfied with Gyumri mayor Vardan Ghukasyan’s performance during the election period. According to 168 Zham paper, he told people close to him that he will not back Ghukasyan in Gyumri mayoral election in September.

“When the time comes, you will know,” Giziryan told the paper when asked to comment on the rumor.

Lilit Aghekyan, a spokesperson for Gyumri Mayor's Office, said to the paper, “Those who try to drive a wedge between the governor and mayor will waste their effort.”
