Berlusconi offers Guardiola €6 million a year

Silvio Berlusconi is ready to go to any length to persuade Pep Guardiola to take up tenure in the AC Milan dugout next season.

According to a report by the Italian daily 'La Repubblica', the owner of the 'Rossoneri' will offer the former Barcelona coach €6 million a year to try and get Milan back to the spot it used to have in Europe's footballing elite.

According to Marca, Milan is finding itself in an ever deepening crisis, and Silvio Berlusconi sees Pep Guardiola as the club's saviour. Despite all this, the club is trying to give off an air of calm. "We have no doubts about Massimiliano Allegri", said Milan's vice-president, Adriano Galliani, although few people actually believe a word of it.

Outside Italy, the Mexican press has reported that Guardiola has accepted an invitation from Dorados de Sinaloa, a team he played for at the end of his career in 2006, to attend the team's tenth anniversary celebrations.
