Alley of Armenian Philanthropists to be opened in Yerevan

The opening ceremony of the Alley of Armenian Philanthropists, created on the initiative of Armenian Diaspora Ministry, will take place in Yerevan Oval Park today.

Statues of Armenian philanthropists Poghos Nupar, Alexander Mantashian, Alex Manoogian, Calouste Gulbenkian, Michael Aramyants, Hovhannes Lazarian and a monument symbolizing philanthropy will be unveiled in the Alley.

Armenian Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan and chairman of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) Pertch Sedrakian will address the ceremony, Armenian Diaspora Ministry said in a news release.
