xxxxxGerman Turks protest against Armenian Genocide law

The Turkish Youth Union (TYU) organization acting in German capital Berlin demands that the German parliament invalidate the law on Armenian Genocide that was adopted in 2005, Turkish news website Sondakika.com reported.

Members of the organization have sent so-called “informational package on the 1915 events” to the German parliament.

Members of the Turkish Youth Union held a protest in front of the parliament building, with placards saying “We did not commit genocide, we defended our homeland.”

|TYU President Beyhan Yildirim made a statement saying that the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by Germany in 2005 was “wrong.”

“As a country and nation we are accused by our German friends because of this decision,” he said.
