RPA member: Tsarukyan’s decision not to run for president will not change RPA’s tactics

This statement will not affect the tactical and strategic goals of Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) because we long ago announced both our candidate and our priorities, MP, member of RPA executive body Gagik Minasyan told Panorama.am, referring to the possible influence of Prosperous Armenia Party’s decision on RPA’s tactics.

We will remind that Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan announced today that he would not run for president and would not back any candidate.

“Certainty has increased in the political field following the statement of Prosperous Armenia. As the saying goes, a holy place is never empty. PAP’s votes will go to those candidates who will present realistic programs during the election campaign. That is, there will be redistribution of votes,” noted Minasyan.

The upcoming elections will differ from the previous ones in their quality level and transparency and RPA will not only do everything possible to implement the new goals and programs but also will carry out all those provisions from its previous prorgam which were not realized due to the financial crisis, the Republican MP concluded.
