Winter parade, winter games… Winter festival will be saturated

On December 22 Winter festival will kick off which will continue till the Old New Year, January 13, the organizers report. They assure the fest will be full with various events. The organizers of the fest are Deem Communications Company and Yerevan Mayor’s office.

Festival will kick off with the traditional Winter Parade. The participants of the Festival, music bands, dancers’ groups and interesting characters will get into Liberty Square from the Mayor’s office headed by the Santa Claus. The Winter Games, Competition of nature protective New Year trees, handicrafts, Fairy tale telling and other event are to be held at the Liberty Square.

Every year the festival involves interesting innovations. Many team and individual games will be organized at the Liberty Square during those days (happy penguins, bowling, painting wall, labyrinth, etc.). Fairy tales will be told to children. Participants may also prepare New Year toys, decorations, New Year tress and origami and take their works home.

On December 28 one of the funniest and the most active events will be held, the Race of Santas’. The previously registered participants will receive cloths of Santa and will try their forces by racing. The winners will get prizes.
