Hrant Melkumyan in Basel

Armenian GM Hrant Melkumyan, scoring 5 points out of 7, finished seventh among 89 participants at the open chess tournament in Basel, Switzerland. 

Melkumyan was just half a point behind GMs Boris Grachev (Russia), Levente Vajda (Romania), Robin van Kampen (Netherlands) and Andrei Istratescu (France). Grachev won after tiebreak, armchess.am reported.
