The Prime Minister’s resignation is evidence of the fact that the formation of the government depends exclusively on the decisions of the political majority and President, Armenian Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan told a press briefing on Friday. Ashotyan noted that he was not aware that in February, Tigran Sargsyan asked the President to accept his resignation.
When asked whether the new Prime Minister may be not a member of RPA, the Minister said, “As a locomotive of the country’s political course, the Republican Party can allow itself to entrust this job to an individual who does not make part of the political majority.”
