xxxxIran’s spiritual leader’s representative sets condition for President of Azerbaijan

Imam Hassan Juma Ardabil Ameli, representative of Iran's spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in connection with the visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Iran made a statement in which he set conditions in front of Aliyev, Azerbaijani newspaper Azadlig writes.

"Aliyev's visit to Iran will be useful only if the Government of Azerbaijan seriously alienates from Israel, refuses Iranofobia, as well as phobias against religions, releases those detained for the protection of religious values," Hasan Ameli stated.

Today the Azerbaijani news portal "Haqqin.az" have noted that in upcoming days, the Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, will pay an official visit to Baku. According to a source in the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Mr. Lieberman, together with a large delegation, is to visit Baku on April 30, if "no extraordinary event occurs."

"The fact that Lieberman's visit takes place shortly after the visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Iran catches the eye. Azerbaijan's cooperation with Israel has always displeased the Iranian side," the portal notes.
