UK envoy hopes Sochi meeting will help ease tensions

The only thing we can do now is assist the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and, through those efforts, the meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents in Sochi, UK Ambassador to Armenia Katherine Leach told a briefing on Friday.

“We hope the meeting will help ease the tensions,” she added.

“We are looking forward to that meeting. We will wait and see what the outcome of the meeting will be and then, I hope, the OSCE Minsk Group will advance the proposals put on the negotiating table,” Mrs Leach stressed.
