Armenia’s accession to the Customs Union is not a current issue anymore, Yerevan Press Club chairman Boris Navasardyan told reporters in Yerevan. The Customs Union has merged into the Eurasian Economic Union (EaEU), so membership to the Customs Union means membership to the Eurasian Economic Union, he explained.
“It is very difficult to make forecasts about Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union on October 10,” Navasardyan said, adding that Kazakhstan is not pleased with the fact that Armenia is going to join the Eurasian Union.
“Kazakhstan participates in three different integration processes, so will it want Armenia to become a member of the Eurasian Economic Union?” Navasardyan noted.
