Footballer Grisha Simonyan dies

18-year-old Russian-Armenian footballer Grisha Simonyan died Friday morning. He was battling brain cancer, Interfax reports.

Simonyan received treatment in Germany this spring and summer and then returned to Moscow.

On September 15, the footballer was to leave for Germany for the third course of treatment, but the trip was cancelled due to the deterioration of his health.

On September 22, he underwent surgery in Moscow and was in artificial coma.
