Armenian women stage protest against maternity benefits bill

A group of Armenian women gathered outside the government building on Thursday in protest of the bill proposing higher maternity benefits for non-working women at the expense of the working ones.

Later, the participants of the action submitted a letter to Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan saying that the bill is in violation of human rights and social rights of citizens and presenting their proposals on the matter.
