Haykakan Zhamanak: Less Armenian labor migrants to leave for Russia due to crisis

Armenian Migration Service head Gagik Yeganyan told Haykakan Zhamanak that he thinks the number of Armenians who go to Russia to work may drop due to the economic situation in Russia.

In Yeganyan’s words, the service cannot forecast how much the rate will decline. Meanwhile, he cited the experience of the global financial crisis of 2008-2009 and said that the number of Armenian labor migrants going to Russia reduced twice in those years.
