Karabakh soldier killed by enemy fire

An Armenian soldier, Garik Ispiryan, 19, died of a gunshot wound after being shot by Azerbaijani forces in a frontline position of a military unit located in the eastern direction of the Line of Contact of Karabakh and Azerbaijani troops, the press service of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Ministry said.

The NKR Defense Ministry shares the grief of the bereavement and extends sympathy to Garik Ispiryan’s family, relatives, and fellow servicemen.

An investigation is underway.
