Planes could not land at Zvartnots Airport due to fog

Two planes en route to Yerevan from Russia’s Mineralnye Vody and Rostov-on-Don failed to land at Zvartnots Airport of Yerevan on Saturday because of a heavy fog, spokesman for the General Department of Civil Aviation of Armenia Ruben Grdzelyan told Panorama.am.

“The plane flying from Rostov-on-Don headed to Sochi, while the other one was sent back to Mineralnye Vody,” he said.

The spokesman added that the weather is clearing and the airport will begin hosting flights soon.
