Protest outside Russian Embassy in Yerevan

A protest is taking place outside the Embassy of Russia in Yerevan. The protesters demand that Russian soldier Valery Permyakov, who is charged with the murder of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri, be tried in Armenia. They are chanting, “We are masters of our country.”

Policemen formed a chain near the Embassy and are not allowing the protesters to approach the Embassy building.
