Hraparak: Position of GDCA deputy head vacant for more than one year

The position of deputy head of the General Department of Civil Aviation of Armenia (GDCA) has been vacant for more than one year now, Hraparak writes. Former GDCA head, businessman Aram Marutyan was relieved of his position on January 21, 2014. Since 2011, he is the Honorary Consul of Austria in Armenia.

Following the adoption of ‘open skies’ policy, the scope of the GDCA functions narrowed, the newspaper notes, adding that reduction of the staff is expected.
