New regional governor of Kotayk appointed

The Armenian government on Thursday adopted a decision appointing Abovyan city mayor Karapet Guloyan as regional governor of Kotayk.

Karapet Guloyan is the son-in-law of ex-leader of Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan.

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan wished productive work to the new governor.

Earlier today, the Armenian government approved the draft decision to relieve Aram Harutyunyan of his post as regional governor of Kotayk. Hovik Abrahamyan noted that Harutyunyan will be appointed to another position.
